Today with Miss Henry students were able to get a peek at where we are going next with science: weather! Below is the link to a video she used to generate excitement and understanding about the topic: http://studyjams.scholastic.com/studyjams/jams/science/weather-and-climate/weather-and-climate.htm Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week we had our first full week with Miss Henry, a student teacher from Endicott College. She will be spending the next two weeks with us (leaving November 21st), and will be teaching a total of three lessons over that time. Below is a letter she has written to introduce herself to you. ___________________________________________________________ November 5, 2014 Dear Families, My name is Taylor Henry I will be completing my pre-practicum with Mrs. Brooks for the next three weeks. I am a junior at Endicott College with a major in Elementary Education. Having met the 5th graders I already know that this is an extraordinary group of students who will teach me a great deal. During my time at Cove, I will have the opportunity to apply what I have learned from my education so far. In addition, I know I will be learning so much more by working with Mrs. Brooks and your wonderful children, thus nearing my ultimate goal – to teach in my own classrooms. Teaching is one of the most significant passions in my life and has been a career goal of mine since I was younger. I feel that my experiences so far and my love of children have prepared me for this next chapter in my education. I am open to any questions, comments, or concerns that you may have. I hope to get the chance to meet each of you through out the next three weeks. Cordially, Taylor Henry |
